Paul Haarman- How to Increase Your Energy in 4 Easy Steps

We all know that feeling of being just downright exhausted, whether it be from a busy work week or too many long nights (read: weekends) out at the bar says Paul Haarman.

When I feel like I can barely keep my eyes open, even after getting 8 hours of sleep, I find that these simple tricks help me to increase my energy and productivity:

1. GET MORE SLEEP:

This one seems like a no-brainer, but in this day and age we often choose to stay up late watching TV shows online over going to bed earlier and waking up early enough to get some good shut-eye! If you’re pushing yourself to be more productive by staying up later working on your side hustle or studying for finals, chances are it’s robbing you of your energy rather than giving you more.

Try going to bed and waking up 1 hour earlier than you normally do for a week, and see whether or not you feel more energized during the day. I’ve definitely found that when I get enough sleep (I try for at least 7 hours), my energy levels are much higher and I’m able to accomplish more in less time!

2. GET SOME FRESH AIR:

Sitting in front of your computer all day can contribute to feelings of fatigue and sluggishness, especially if you work from home like I do. So take a break for about 20 minutes – step away from your desk and grab something cold to drink (see our blog post on the health benefits of coconut water here ), then go sit outside for a bit.  Sunlight boosts energy, and fresh air always does the body good! Just make sure you wear sunscreen if it’s particularly sunny out…

3. TAKE YOUR VITAMINS:

There are so many different types of vitamins on the market now that it can be overwhelming to know which ones do what exactly. Some vitamins are great for increasing your energy, while others have the opposite effect says Paul Haarman. I’ve found Vita fusion gummies to be extremely helpful in maintaining high energy levels throughout my week without crashing once I get home at night (when I would normally start crashing due to a lack of natural sunlight).

Are there any side-effects to taking energy boosters?

Be sure that you check the ingredients list for each vitamin before taking it – some can have adverse side effects if you’re already consuming caffeine or eating a lot of sugar, and some may even interact with other medications.
