My name is…

I am 20 years old and I’m currently studying at university. My major is engineering, but recently my heart has been set on architecture which is such an amazing combination of science and art! Architecture allows me to indulge in my love for drawing and painting as well as my interest in structure and technology, so it’s quite perfect for me really! As you can tell, I’m extremely excited to be putting this degree into practice over the next few years! And if the junior year of university is anything to go by, I can’t wait for what will happen. Some of the topics might be really difficult but it’s ok because I am more than capable of handling them and I can always ask my lecturers for help if I need it!

If I’m working, I always try to find 3 things I like about what I’m doing. One problem with this quote is that oftentimes we don’t even notice our everyday traits and strengths; for example, many people think of themselves as boring when in fact there might be many interesting things about them that they are not aware of. Paul Haarman says if you can find 3 good things about yourself, it will be a lot easier to be motivated in your work. This is because you’ll have a positive image of yourself and this will encourage you to do your best. Additionally, it’s important to know that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, so don’t compare yourself to other people! You are unique and that is something to be proud of.
